Mirka 12V Cordless 3 Inch 12mm Orbital Polisher Kit

Description

Engineered to professional spot repair standards, the Mirka MUS-AROP312 Cordless Polisher finishes automotive clearcoat defects inside tight bumper contours. A brushless 12V motor drives a 3in pad with a 12mm random orbital throw. The compact 12mm orbit focuses cutting heat on small spots, requiring constant tool movement to prevent paint burn-through.

Solid composite motor housings enclose an industrial brushless DC motor, creating compact dimensions of 9in long by 3in wide by 4-1/2in high with a net weight of 1.9 lbs including battery. The 12V DC system utilizes 2.5Ah or 5.0Ah lithium-ion battery packs, spinning a 3in backing pad from 4,000 to 7,000 RPM through a digital variable-speed lever.

Key Features of Mirka MUS-AROP312

Automotive detailing studios and collision repair paint shops buy Mirka MUS-AROP312 polishers to eliminate sanding scratches on small panels. Paint correction specialists select this cordless 3in polisher to correct door jambs and mirror caps without dragging pneumatic hoses across fresh clearcoats.

• Cordless 12V design eliminates trailing air hoses and electrical cords that scratch vehicle clearcoats.
• Large 12mm random orbital throw delivers fast defect removal while eliminating rotary swirl marks.
• Brushless motor maintains constant pad oscillation speed under operator downward hand pressure.
• Digital variable speed trigger provides micro-control over pad RPM between 4,000 and 7,000 RPM.
• Ergonomic low-profile body design keeps operator hands close to vehicle surfaces for precise edge control.
• Quick-release battery latch allows rapid one-second battery swaps during multi-stage polishing jobs.
• Bluetooth connectivity pairs with mobile devices to track tool vibration levels and operational runtimes.
• Includes two 12V lithium-ion batteries and a dual-port fast charger for non-stop paint correction work.

Orbital Runout Vibration Bench Testing

Digital vibrometer testing confirms minimal handle vibration acceleration under 2.2 m/s² during continuous 6,000 RPM compounding on clearcoat test panels. Backing pad runout measures under 0.001in TIR across the 3in disc face. Battery runtime delivers 45 minutes of continuous polishing per 2.5Ah charge. Tool operating sound registers 62 dB.

Automotive Paint Usability Negative Filter

Do not use this 3in spot polisher for large flat hood or roof panels; use larger 5in or 6in polishers for broad surfaces. Do not immerse in liquid wash buckets. Detailing technicians wearing nitrile gloves maintain feather-light speed feathering through the low-profile throttle lever.

• Blow out clearcoat polishing compound dust from the motor vents using dry air every 10 hours.
• Inspect the 3in hook-and-loop backing pad face for foam tears or heat breakdown every 20 hours.
• Wipe battery electrical terminals clean with a dry microfiber cloth every 30 days of service.
